WORLD CUP 2022

Doesn’t it feel like forever since the last World Cup?

Well, the wait is officially over - and bookings are now open to watch World Cup 2022 at The Griffin.

Bookings can be made through the booking widget below, for a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 6 people (if you are lucky enough to have more than 5 friends, you will need to make an additional booking 😊)

We’ve invested a lot of time and money into our covered and heated areas in our garden for Winter and the World Cup, so we will be asking for card authentications for all bookings for World Cup games.  This is to protect us in the event that bookings are cancelled at short notice, or that people “no show” on the day (keep in mind, we will have turned away other business for that booking).

We will not charge your card anything if the booking goes ahead as planned. The authentication does not shadow or debit any money when you book 😊

If you lovely lot need to cancel or amend your reservation, please just let us know as soon as possible - at least 24 hours before the booking. We will only charge your card if you cancel the booking less than 24 hours beforehand. or if you don’t show up on the day.

A quick explanation about our booking types:

  • This is our new amazing outdoor but indoor-vibe space, where we will have a 4-meter screen for the World Cup. There are only 15 tables of 6 up for grabs, so get booking quick if you’d like a table in this premium space!

    Card authentication is £20 pp

    *Smoking is not allowed inside the big marquee

  • At some point you will have sat in our beautiful Lost Garden Bar conservatory! In this space we’re going to have a brand new 75-inch TV to replace the projector and a 65-inch TV replacing the smaller screen. With a bar inside this space and near to smoking areas, the 6 tables of 6 in here are also going to get snapped up quickly- be fast!

  • If the hype of our premium areas isn’t for you, you can book a standard table (still vibey- don’t get us wrong) which will be inside the main pub or in the stretch tent area just after the Lost Garden Bar with our current TVs. Just quote “inside” or “stretch tent” in the notes of your booking to let us know which of the two you’d prefer. As spaces get booked up we may not be able to fulfil your request which will be done on a first-come, first-served basis!
