CHILDREN POLICY

(Yes, we’re family friendly – but we’re not a playground.)

We love welcoming families to the pub, but we’ve recently had a few issues that mean we need to set clearer boundaries.

Please note:

  • The garden is not a play area.

  • The trees are not for climbing

  • The bushes are not for laying in.

  • The stones are not for throwing.

  • The flowers are not for playing in.

  • The ropes are not swings.

  • The venue is not a running track – our team and guests are carrying food and drinks, and we’ve had full trays lost trying to dodge children tearing around.

If you're booking a space and bringing children, they must stay with you in your area. Children need to be seated with their group – this isn’t a soft play or a park, and it’s not safe for them (or others) to be running free.

We ask that children are respectful of the space – scribbling on our wooden posts, pulling up plants, and re-landscaping the path might seem playful, but it's damage. It’s not cute, it’s not harmless – it’s not okay.

Children are welcome until 7pm, but if they’re not being supervised appropriately, we will ask you to leave. This is an adult environment first, where people come to relax, socialise, and enjoy a drink.

If you are asked to leave due to non-compliance with this policy, you will not be entitled to a refund on any hire or reservation fees.

Bring the kids, enjoy your meal or drink, and have a great time – just please make sure they stay at your table and respect the venue. If that doesn’t suit your plans, we kindly suggest heading to the park or joining us for a child-free visit another time.

Thanks for understanding.
